Ofc Ran loves him, even if there wasn’t that whole “childhood crush” cr*p, she’d still be worried if a good friend disappeared without showing up one day, not even contacting anyone to notify them. It was beautiful in the 90’s, but in this modern day people like her would be criticized or scorned for not knowing when to let go. Episode 1 had her punch a pole because her dad’s business was failing (even when she brought it up) because of him (and partially her dad), got forced into a promised date (all rom-com cliches) only to “die”. I don’t know why I even entertain people like you, *where* pray tell is 25+ years of him being gone and her just getting emotional over nothing good? Read both manga and watched the anime to conclude that sh*t Sherlock, no one can deny that they care deeply for the other, but it’s clear that it’s bordering concerns for a friend. And for some unbelievable reason people *prefer* this? Over just letting go and starting anew? I once again lost my faith in humanity. And Ran, sweet sweet “Angel”, who never sees the bad in people first, decides to spend her entire life waiting for this “guy” that might as well be “dead”. The way he keeps bringing her hopes up is ludicrous and heartless really, especially when he tries to butt in whenever she might find happiness besides him. There’s only so much optimism can carry you, so I find it disbelieving how seasons seem to repeat whenever Gosho feels like it yet a year hasn’t even passed, and this guy refuses to entertain the idea that he might never go back to his “other self”.

Yes you all can diss at me for being a CoAi/ShinShi shipper or just hate ShinRan in general (that’s real) but I’m really confused, why are people getting emotional over this? From context alone, “Shinichi” left for over 10 years and he never called her or used one of his antidote chances to tell her he might never return again. And despite me not watching this whole thing yet (I’ve seen bits) all I can say is: Why the hell are people getting teary and wishing these two together? Shouldn’t it be the opposite? I don’t hate these characters (they make it easy to, and it is indeed dumb of me to post my feelings on them when they’re fictional ) but this ship wouldn’t last more than 10 seconds irl. I’m sorry, I just read the manga and have started to watch the movies and anime. Try to stay alive to your best abilities though. And if you’re bored enough to read my comment, remember that you clicked it. Have a great day/night, wonderful life, and respect your fellow humans regardless of their origins or genders.
